Our name comes from an old idea: to protect those who need it most.

One Picture

One of my patients was a photographer for NASA. Months later, his family sent me a photograph he had taken of the 2017 eclipse. He had wanted me to have it.

With it came a different way of seeing what a photograph is.

Most of us carry thousands of pictures on our phones and rarely look at them again. There are moments we are too busy to understand, sounds we are too distracted to hear, and messages we are too proud to realize were meant for us.

But our eyes are cameras, and our memories are the pictures. So I ask: if you had only one picture to share, what would it be?
